Nachos, corn munch and roasted peanuts from the Gujarati brothers who pitched their crunch on Shark Tank India and walked away winners.
Makino started in Himmatnagar, a small town in Gujarat, when a family steeped in food and business decided India deserved a better snack. Their answer was Mexican inspired nachos and corn snacks made with non-GMO corn, no trans fat, zero cholesterol and roughly forty percent less oil than typical fried snacks. The brand went on to feature on Shark Tank India Season 2 and now sits in cinemas, supermarkets and quick commerce apps across the country.
The range runs from nacho chips and super nachos to corn munch and flavoured roasted peanuts in varieties like hing jeera, nimboo pudina and tandoori. It is certified by FSSAI, BRCGS, ISO, HACCP and Halal, and it sells exactly the way a good snack should: fast.
